The City of Munford has scheduled its seventh annual clean-up campaign, “Celebrate Spring!  Pick-Up, Fix-Up Munford.”

For the 29th consecutive year, DSCC hosted the Spanish Feria on the Dyersburg campus. The Feria, held on March 12th, has become one of the capstone events for area high school students taking Spanish language and culture courses.  Students compete in areas as diverse as crafts, cooking, dictation and poetry. In recent years, the Spanish video production has become a highlight of the competition.

This year approximately 199 students from Bradford, Brighton, Munford, and Ripley High Schools took part in the Feria. They are students in levels I, II, and III of Spanish courses from these schools.

The work of over 75 volunteers from the college and the community is needed to host the event. Planning for the 2013 Feria began in September of 2012. Planning is already underway for the 2014 event.

Casa Piatto Caffe, also known as Home Plate Caffe, 45 Reeder Rd. in Munford, failed its April 9 health inspection with a 54.
