Local artist to display work at Drummonds Elementary

Artist Sherri Warner Hunter will be at Drummonds Elementary on Thursday January 19th at 9 AM.

Her art project is a result of a year and a half long journey to bring more Art awareness to the rural community of Drummonds and surrounding areas.

Drummonds Elementary School’s Art Teacher, Alisha Wall, and Principal Patricia Mills commissioned artist Sherri Warner Hunter, through funds acquired from the Arts Build Communities (ABC) grant of Arts Memphis, a Tipton County Ed Foundation grant and a student coin collection drive.

Hunter worked with and for the students at Drummonds Elementary School in Tipton County, Tennessee to create a large outdoor sculpture to be displayed on the school grounds.
