Crestview Middle teacher suspended; under investigation | Crime

A Crestview Middle School teacher has been suspended without pay while Covington police investigate allegations of improper conduct with a student.

The teacher, Cindy Clifton, has not been arrested or charged with a crime.

Tipton County School District Superintendent Buddy Bibb referred inquiries about the alleged incident to the Covington Police Department.

District Attorney Mike Dunavant also confirms the investigation. 

Monday was the first day of school for Tipton County students.
