The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information that will lead to the identification of a man wanted for passing numerous fraudulent checks worth thousands of dollars.
The suspect is described as a male black, approximately 5’10, medium build and is wearing some type of identification badge in one of the photos.
The suspect passed the fraudulent checks to purchase gift cards and vacuum cleaners at the Wal-Mart stores in Cordova and Bartlett as well as Barnes and Noble and Walgreens in the Wolfchase area.
Tipton County authorities are investigating the case as the result of a complaint from a victim from their county.
The male is believed to be driving a 2000’s model, black, Dodge Ram 1500 truck.
“These types of crimes are financially painful to the victims and time consuming for law enforcement authorities trying to identify suspects and solve the case” states Sheriff J.T. “Pancho” Chumley. “With the photos we are able to produce in this case, I hope for a speedy prosecution for our victim’s sake”.
Sheriff Chumley urges anyone with information as to the identity of this suspect to contact the Sheriff’s Office @ (901) 475-3300 or the Sheriff’s Office tip line @ (901) 475-3307.
