Tipton County man arrested after shooting at men trying to get tractor | Crime
On April 21, 2012 at about 2:20 PM, Tipton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 510 Sanders Road in Covington after receiving a complaint from two men who had been shot at by the homeowner. Deputies determined that John Woolridge and Scott McIntyre were attempting to get a tractor owed by McIntyre from the Sanders Road residence. As they exited their vehicle, Nathaniel Page, 57, allegedly fired multiple rounds from a .22 rifle toward them. The men left the residence and summoned deputies.
Deputies attempted to make contact with Page at the residence but were unsuccessful. Page was located by deputies, walking in the 4000 block of Charleston Mason Road. Page was arrested on 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Deputies recovered the .22 rifle at the Sanders Road Address.
“We are fortunate that the men were not injured in this incident. I am glad the incident was resolved with the arrest and no further resistance to deputies,” adds Tipton County Sheriff Pancho Chumley.
