Investigators looking into burglary outbreak | Crime
(WMC-TV) - Last week, there was an outbreak of robberies in Tipton County. The sheriff’s office received complaints of six different residential burglaries which were all near each other.
Detectives say thieves entered into the homes by kicking in the doors then stealing electronics, flat screen TVs, jewelry and a handgun. All of these break-ins happened during the daytime work hours when the victims were not home.
“We think the suspects in this case were casing the homes and when no one answered the door, then entry was made. We need help from the citizen’s in this community who may have seen or come in contact with any suspicious individuals that morning or if someone has seen any suspicious vehicles in their neighborhoods to contact the Criminal Investigation Division,” said the sheriff’s office.
If you have any information on these robberies call the criminal investigation division at 901-475-3300. You can also email tips to sheriff@tiptonco.com.
