(WMC-TV) - My good friends at the Better Business Bureau and FraudAvengers are begging you. They're pleading with you.

Don't fall for a debit card discount offer on Facebook.

Both watchdog groups have warned us about an unsolicited offer on Facebook pages. The offer:  20 percent cash back if people link their debit cards to their Facebook pages.

I know, I know. Sounds insane, right?

(WMC-TV) – A Mid-South mom busted for smoking allegedly smoking marijuana with her 10-month-old child in the car is fuming that news of her arrest has gone nationwide.

Tipton County Deputies say they smelled marijuana in Stacy Garlock's car when she was stopped at a safety checkpoint recently.

Deputies even say Garlock admitted to smoking pot with her baby in the car.

Our news partners at The Leader spoke to Garlock Tuesday, here's some of what she told them:

"It's a lot better than drinking and driving or taking pills and driving. No one ever died from smoking weed!"

"My whole entire family is embarrassed. Everyone's in my business now; I don't need people judging what I do! I don't understand why this was even released because I know people who've done way worse."

Mom accused of smoking marijuana in car with child

(WMC-TV) – An Atoka mother was arrested last week after she admitted to smoking marijuana while driving with her infant in the car, according to Tipton County officials.

Stacy Garlock was pulled over by deputies around 11:30 p.m. on June 11 when they spotted her driving, but not wearing her seat belt, officials said Monday.

Deputies said they could smell marijuana as they approached the 24-year-old’s car and spotted the baby fastened into a safety seat.

Deputies arrest man responsible for Amber Alert

On May 4th, 2012 at about 12:30 am Tipton County Sheriff’s Office deputies were summoned to the 100 block of Robin Hood Circle in Millington, Tipton County, TN regarding an infant being removed by force from the residence. Deputies spoke to James Pemperton, grandfather of the child who reported that Jonathan Owen Fowlkes, 27, father of the 1 year old child, forcibly removed him from the residence. According to witnesses, Fowlkes forcibly entered the residence and a domestic argument and disturbance erupted. Fowlkes reportedly went to the bedroom where the infant was sleeping and removed the child from the bed in a reckless manner, attempted to assault Mr. Pemperton and fled from the residence in an awaiting vehicle.

Man arrested after Tipton County undercover sting

On April 21st, 2012 at about 6:30 PM, the Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at 488 Antioch Cotton Lake Rd in Covington, in connection to an undercover drug operation. Investigators, the SWAT team and the K-9 unit executed the warrant resulting in the arrest of George Robert Leird, 25, of the Antioch Cotton Lake residence. Leird was arrested for Possession of Schedule IV after a Xanax pill was recovered during the search. Investigators seized $121.00 in currency from Leird. Leird was also arrested on an unrelated warrant for Possession of Schedule II with Intent to Sell.
