Teen goes on trial for killing elderly couple
News

MEMPHIS, TN-

(WMC-TV) – The trial for the teenager accused of killing an elderly couple in Munford is officially underway.

Jacob "Paco" Brown will soon learn his fate now that opening statements and witness testimony have begun in his murder trial.

Brown is accused of killing the elderly Munford couple last year.

He's charged with two counts of premeditated first degree murder, two counts of felony first degree murder and aggravated burglary. He's accused of killing 80-year-old Ed Walker and his 75-year-old wife Bertha with a baseball bat inside their home.

Brown was arrested less than 48 hours after their deaths at a motel in Millington and eventually confessed to TBI agents.

A neighbor of the Walkers said he and Brown had conversations about the nosy couple. That neighbor claims Brown suggested killing the Walkers, but he thought it was a joke.

Meanwhile, Munford police stepped up regular patrols at Munford High School after rumors of support for Brown.

Students began posting on the Internet that there would be violence at the school and rumors spread that there would even be "Free Paco" t-shirts.
