DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County hosts its annual Donor/Scholar luncheon

Dyersburg State Community College student Shari Hobson knows a bit about time management.

As the mother of five, she juggles schoolwork with the duties of raising her children.  She has made the time commitment; donors to the DSCC Annual Fund have made the money to attend college available.  Hobson spoke about how the Tipton County Government scholarship made her college dreams possible to the nearly 80 guests gathered for the annual Dyersburg State Community College Donor/Scholarship Recipient luncheon on March 30.

“After I finish at Dyersburg State, I plan to finish my degree at the University of Memphis. I hope to become a mathematics teacher here at Dyersburg State.  This is my way of making a difference and paying back those who have supported me,” said Hobson

The luncheon program began with a welcome from DSCC President Karen Bowyer.
