Flooding causing problems in Tipton County

Tipton County Officials including EMA Director Tommy Dunavant, Tipton County Executive Jeff Huffman, Public Works Director Shannon Reid and Sheriff J.T. “Pancho” Chumley have been monitoring the flooding in several areas in Tipton County.

“With the predicted amount of rainfall Tipton County may receive over the next 24 hours the possibility of increased flooding is apparent. We encourage all residents who live in low lying areas and have experienced flooding in the past to be prepared to take action.  We are prepared to assist those citizens living in low lying areas to evacuate by having personnel on standby to respond to the areas needed and provisions for a Shelter have been made by EMA Director Dunavant,” says Tipton County Mayor Jeff Huffman.
